American Association of Medical Dosimetrists 2011 Writing Competition – Receive up to $1000 for papers related to medical dosimetry or radiation therapy. Accepted papers include research projects and case studies. Abstracts are due by Feb. 1, and final manuscripts must be submitted by March 1.

American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine Research and Education Grants – Get up to $10,000 for clinical and basic science ultrasound research projects. Researchers may apply for a grant in one of the following ultrasound-related areas: teaching, clinical research (ob/gyn and non-ob/gyn), and basic science research. Up to 4 grants are awarded per year. The yearly deadline is November 1.

RSNA/AUR/APDR/SCARD Education Research Development Grant – Receive up to $10,000 for all areas of radiology education research. Grants are awarded to any person, at any level of career development, who is affiliated with a radiology department. Must be a member of one or more of the sponsoring organizations.

RSNA Research & Education Foundation Education Scholar Grant – This grant awards up to $75,000 for individuals with an active interest in radiologic education, including the research of teaching methods and evaluation processes. To apply, you must have a current membership with the Radiological Society of North America.

RSNA Research & Education Foundation Research Seed Grant – Receive as much as $40,000 for the preliminary or pilot phase of any area of research related to the radiologic sciences. Applicants must hold a full-time faculty position in a department of radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine within an educational institution. To apply, you also must have a current membership with the Radiological Society of North America.

SPR Research and Education Foundation Seed Grant – This grant awards up to $10,000 for research in pediatric radiology. One member of the investigator team must be a Society for Pediatric Radiology member. Applicants must be in a department of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine; have completed all advanced training; and hold a full-time faculty position in an educational institution at the time the award commences. The deadlines are Oct. 15 and March 15 of each year.
