ISEA Rules and Instructions
Applications are now closed for the 2015 program. Recipients will be announced by January 1, 2015.
EligibilityAll applicants must be current ASRT members and must reside within the continental United States, Hawaii or Alaska.
Applicants also must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent, or hold an unrestricted state license.
ASRT Foundation Board of Trustees, staff and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.
Submission GuidelinesTo apply, submit a completed ISEA Application Form through the online application. You will also need to e-mail your CV or resume to the ASRT Foundation. Applications for the 2015 program are due October 1, 2014.
Presentation topics must address either the cross-cultural study of radiologic technology, emerging modalities, or medical imaging and radiation therapy practice in the United States. All topics should be discussed in a way that is of interest to an international audience.
Selection CriteriaApplications will be reviewed according to the following criteria:
- Preparedness for presenting a topic on a relevant subject
- Significance and potential impact of the proposed presentation topic
- Ability to continue research and/or to write on the proposed presentation topic
- Interest to an international audience
Please Note: Preference will be given to individuals who have not received an International Speakers Exchange Award in the past; however, previous recipients are not restricted from applying.
Notification ProcessApplicants will be informed of the selection decision at least three months prior to the conference date. Successful applicants will be provided with an award agreement, information on travel arrangements and other details regarding the conference.
Award GuidelinesWe will arrange to have the following expenses covered for each award recipient:
- All travel between the United States and the host country
- Conference registration expenses
- $500 stipend to cover food and other travel and attendance
